The following is a summary of what we believe at Tri-City Baptist Church. You can also view an expanded Statement of Faith here.
We believe
in the verbal and plenary inspiration, providential preservation, inerrancy, and infallibility of the Bible. The King James version is used exclusively in preaching services, Sunday School classes and personal work.
We believe
the Bible is correctly approached from a literal, dispensational standpoint. Therefore, We believe the world was created in six literal days.
We believe
in a literal, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe
in the Deity, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious atonement (through the shedding of His blood on the cross), and the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe
that there is one God eternally existing in three persons (ie. the Trinity).
We believe
that Salvation was planned by God (the Father) before the foundation of the world, provided by God (the Son) on the cross, and administered by God (the Holy Spirit) by grace through faith totally apart from works.
We believe
the atonement of Christ was made for all men. Man is personally responsible to receive Christ by faith (in response to the hearing of the Gospel and conviction of the Holy Spirit). The moment he believes, he is regenerated and sealed by the Holy Spirit. The believer is eternally secure. Therefore, we reject both hyper-Calvinism and Arminianism.
We believe
in separation from unbelievers, disobedient brothers, and this world system. Hence, We are opposed to the ecumenical movement, the charismatic movement, and “Christian” contemporary music.
